Digital Routes in History

Digital Routes in History, a Diadrasis’ project in cooperation with the Municipality of Nafpaktia and the Region of Western Greece, is beginning to take form. Under the “Western Greece 2014 -2020” Business Plan and the broader object of “Biking, hiking and mountaineering routes formation in Nafpaktia”, navigational multimedia add-on applications for portable devices will be developed, which will provide access to the region’s historical and cultural information through a modern and specialised way, while also entertaining.

Through a multimedia navigation in a 3D Nafpaktia map, as well as the sea routes of Nafpaktos, we aspire to offer the ability to younger audiences to approach history in an innovative method, by broading the way of understanding the past, activate their interest on the according cognitive fields and, in addition, encourage personal expression and activity by offering the right stimuli as start line for personal creation. Always keeping up with environmental protection and transitioning towards a much eco-friendlier economy.
